Mathew C. YostYost, Mathew C. Unexpectedly left us on April 27, 2009, at the age of 42. The most wonderful husband and father to his wife Jennifer (nee Schmitt) and daughter Samantha. Beloved son of Joan and the late Roger Yost. Loving brother to Jeff (Kate), Dennis (Carol), Debbie (late Wayne) Bitting, Karen (Mark) Elworthy, Greg (Karri) and Becky (Ted) Burg. #1 son-in-law to Gary and Sue Schmitt. Best brother-in-law to Dan (Sara) Schmitt and Mark (Kathy) Schmitt. Further survived by 20 nieces and nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Visitation will be AT THE FUNERAL HOME Friday, May 1, 2009, from 4PM until time of memorial service at 7PM. Mathew was employed at Coca-Cola for 10 years and Truck Country for over the past 10 years. Mathew will be dearly missed by all of us forever and we will never ever forget his laugh.

One person has been killed on Highway 41 in the Little Chute area because of a serious crash. (Two people were killed)The Wisconsin State Patrol says a semi rolled over near Holland Road around 7:45 Monday morning. Marathon Cheese Transport of Marathon, Wis., owns the truck that was carrying large rolls of paper. A total of six vehicles were involved.
The state patrol believes the crash happened as cars were slowing down in response to a crash further north near Highway 55.
"There were a number of vehicles traveling in the right lane as traffic slowed. There was a semi at the rear of a group of vehicles and was unable to get stopped in time. It rear ended one vehicle, which pushed it ahead into another vehicle and essentially it was a chain reaction crash," Sergeant Bradley Seymour of the Wisconsin State Patrol said.
Three other people were hurt in the crash. A spokeswoman for Theda Clark Medical Center says 37-year-old Peggy Bauman of Greenville is in critical condition, 44-year-old James Wodill of Appleton is in serious condition and 66-year-old of Michael Kaiser of Mosinee was treated and released. 42-year-old Matthew Yost from the Germantown area was pronounced dead at the scene.
The state patrol says the crash is a reminder for people to pay attention on the road, keep a safe distance between you and cars ahead of you, and to be a defensive driver.
"A couple vehicles avoided being part of this crash by being able to swerve into the median to avoid being rear ended," Bradley said.
All northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 41 are now open.
The semi will be removed from the ditch around 10 p.m. Crews will be shutting down both lanes of Northbound 41 between 441 and County N for about five hours. The detour route will be County OO.
