The will of David H. Truell, who died August 24, has been filed in County court for probate. The estate, valued at $40,000, is to be divided between the widow, Mary J. Truell, and daughter, Irene W. Truell. Trustees named in the will are Earl R. Truell, a son, and P. M. Plamondon. The daughter is to be executrix.[The Lincoln State Journal, Sunday, December 10, 1922]
A reception was held at the David H. Truell home December 2 in honor of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Truell. The home was beautifully decorated with roses and chrysanthemums and more then fifty friends and relatives called during the afternoon to offer congratulations and best wishes. Mr Truell was born at Lowell, Mass in 1850 and Mrs Truell in Pennsylvania in 1853. They were married in Lyndon, Wis., in 1872. In the spring of 1890 they moved to Nebraska and settled on their farm in the northern part of the county where they resided until four years ago when they moved to their present home in Lincoln. They have two children living, Dr. Earl R. Truell and Miss Irene Truell, both of Lincoln.
