celebrate the life, mourn the death, and rejoice in the promise of the resurrection of Harriet Elizabeth Taylor Luetzow, who died on Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Meriter Hospital, Madison. Born on May 3, 1920, in Carroll, Iowa, she was the eldest daughter of Harold Wesley and Catherine Hansen Taylor. On March 22, 1942, she married Harvard George Luetzow, and for 62 years they were devoted to each other and set a loving example for their children: Connie (Stuart) Wilson, Ginger (Bruce) Bade, Kathy (Walter) Bruenger, Tera (Patrick) Henner and April (John) Luedtke. A graduate of the Lake Mills High School, class of 1938, she still enjoyed the friendships of her classmates. She was also educated at the University of Wisconsin and Miss Brown's Business School in Milwaukee. She worked as Dr. Lindlow's assistant and then at Hamlin Inc. for more than 25 years. During her wonderful 84 years she generously shared her many talents with her family, church and community. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, its Mission Society and choir. She served as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and enthusiastically supported Harvard's barbershop chorus activities. In addition to her husband and five daughters, she is survived by her three sisters, Ruth Topel, Carol Gronert and Elinor Brayton; nine grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Taylor, who was lost in World War II; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Blythe Bade. The family would like to thank the doctors and wonderful staff at Meriter Hospital for their kind and expert attention to Harriet. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at ST. PAUL EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, Lake Mills. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at CLAUSSEN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Mills, and also after noon until the time of the services on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church choir and the student assistance fund would be appreciated. "Who can find a virtuous woman?
